Simple mechanism. Easy to adjust. Easy to use. Easy to clean. I was nervous about buying a manual coffee grinder as they ALL had negative reviews. But I really wanted one because a) I live in hurricane country and like to be able to function without power b) I like being "old school" and c) anything that I can do "off the [power] grid" is awesome

After reading some shaky reviews of various powered grinders, I decided to give this one a try. It works very well. I have a French press style coffee maker, so I adjusted this one for maximum coarseness. I can grind up enough coffee for four 8oz cups in minutes. Since I live on a seagoing sailboat, I love the durable stainless steel construction.

This is a very useful gadget. I like to grind my coffee beans but do not want to use electricity. It is very simple to assemble and works like a charm.My one criticism is that my unit arrived with a dent at the base, which has no bearing on the function. Terrific product!
